FAQ
Questions about the Bamber Bridge Nutrition club
Your free assessment, the club itself, the programme and the calculators. Clear replies to what people most often want to know.

The free assessment
Is the assessment really free?
Yes. There is no charge and no commitment for the first assessment. Everything the free assessment checks.
Is the club far from Preston?
No. The club is in Bamber Bridge, 5.2 km as the crow flies from the centre of Preston, at Walton Summit Centre. Distances from nearby towns.
How can I book my free assessment?
Use the form on the site or give the club a ring. You get a call back around midday, through the afternoon or of an evening.
The club
Where is the club?
At 267 Brindle Road, Walton Summit Centre, Bamber Bridge, south-east of Preston. People come to the club from Bamber Bridge and the surrounding area, Higher Walton, Clayton Brook, Gregson Lane, Brindle, Clayton-le-Woods, Walton-le-Dale, Lostock Hall, Farington, Hoghton, Whittle-le-Woods, Samlesbury, Buckshaw Village, Leyland, Penwortham and Preston.
What hours does the club keep?
Monday to Friday, from 6am to 11am. Saturday, from 7am to 12:30pm. Closed on Sunday.
The programme
Do I have to visit the club daily?
Coaching happens every day, and plenty of members with jobs pop into the club for breakfast ahead of the morning commute. How often you visit is agreed with your coach during the assessment.
Will I have to give up the foods I enjoy?
No. At the Bamber Bridge club, the balanced eating approach is shaped around what you like and how you live, and you never go without.
What is the price of the programme?
Pricing is agreed during the assessment, based on what you want to achieve. There is no charge and no commitment for the first one.
The calculators
Can BMI alone show whether I need to lose weight?
No. BMI makes no distinction between fat and muscle. Waist size and the body fat measurement taken during the assessment give a clearer picture.
Are my figures saved?
No. Everything is worked out on your own phone or computer. None of it is stored or passed on to the club.
Are the calculators suitable for everyone?
These tools are meant for grown-ups. If you are pregnant, younger than 18, older than 65 or have a BMI below 18.5, please speak with your GP instead.
Become a coach
Do I need to be a member before I can coach?
Yes, everyone begins by joining as a club member. Membership comes first, coaching follows. After that, and depending on how things go for you, a club of your own can open.
Club online or club in a venue, how do I decide?
Neither is better, and they work side by side. Online, there are no premises to find and its coach works with members over video. A venue gathers its members each morning around breakfast. Mark helps you weigh up the choice when you meet in person at the club.
